# 2
Hello everyone! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful few weeks since I sent out my first newsletter. Firstly, thank you all for listening to Dog Body and watching the music video. Your reactions and kind words mean the world to me. I cannot wait to share all the exciting news to come. It’s been a good while since I’ve released a body of work, so I owe you all another big thank you for sticking around this long!
I’ve been busy the last few weeks preparing for my second release, Another Song For The End Of The World, out on November 11th. I’m also currently rehearsing to join Matt Maltese on tour for six shows in the USA ( my first-ever US shows - eek). I’ll be opening for him in Phoenix, Dallas, Austin, Houston, New Orleans and Tampa. So if you haven’t bought tickets yet, now's your chance!

Q/A Do you like performing live?
I still find performing in front of a large crowd relatively stressful. I sweat from every pore, my hands shake and occasionally I’ll have a full out-of-body experience (suuuuuper chill am I, right?) The guitar I’ve owned for 6 years feels like a foreign object - it’s got a different name, a new accent and its body looks unrecognisable. All our chemistry seems to dissipate. That being said, after the first couple of songs, my soul daintily returns, and my guitar begins to recognise me again. Kind of like those dogs that go missing for five years and then find their owner again by smelling a pair of their keeper’s jeans. Is that too weird a metaphor? I don’t know. Anyway, I do enjoy singing my songs to people (believe it or not), even if my heart rate jumps and my soul’s commitment issues flag. Sometimes, if the temperature’s just right and the dust settles exactly where it’s meant to, you can feel everyone begin to listen to each other, breathing in and out like one big organism in flow. In those special moments, my body stays grounded, my hands need no instructions, my guitar belongs to me and I forget I’m performing. Everything seems to glide, and the whole room sings.
Till next time!
